More Spring Break Fun

My three little Picasso's

On the second day of spring break I decided to let the kids paint. I put some of Bryan's old shirts on them and let them paint to their hearts content. They used paintbrushes, stamps, sponges and of course their hands. By the time they were done they had used a whole jumbo pack of construction paper. They had so much fun though. I love to see their little creative minds at work!

I always say "If it ain't movin', Presley will try to eat it!" Well, here's proof!

Catching up

Last week was Bailey's spring break. Normally, we try to take a small trip on her week off, but we are saving up for a summer vacation so we ended up staying home. I tried to find something fun for them to do each day to make up for it.
The first day we went to the zoo. It was a beautiful day! The kids love the zoo. For some reason, all of the animals decided that we needed to learn about their bodily functions that day. Almost every animal we saw pooped or peed while we were standing there. As if that wasn't bad enough, the giraffe and the gorilla used their "waste" to satisfy their thirst and hunger. Blek! The kids got the biggest kick out of it though. Presley spent the next few days telling people about what the "monkey" did with his poop. :)
Presley LOVES animals. She wanted to pet or hold all of them. Even the 30 ft. snake! While we were standing in front of the gorilla, she kept saying "Monkey, hey monkey! Over here!" He completely ignored her. Presley does not like being ignored. She screamed "Monkeeeeey, it's me! Presley!" Like, do you not recognize me?? So adorable. Anyway, here are a few shots from our day at the zoo...

The pandas were passed out! Presley kept asking "Mommy, is him dead?"

SnOw FUN!!

It's hard to believe as I sit here enjoying this 70 degree weather, that it was only a week ago that the ground was covered in snow!
The kids woke up and could not wait to get out there and play! Presley has never played in the snow before. The past few times that it has snowed she was either too little or too sick. So she was especially anxious to get outside. We bundled them up and sent them out. Bry and I stayed up on the porch like the old folks that we are! :) I don't remember snow being so cold when I was little!
It was so fun to watch them play. Bay had fun throwing snowballs at the babies. Luke got her a few times too. Presley figured out how to make snow angels all by herself. She just walked out there and plopped back in the snow. It was so cute.
They had a blast and we wanted to go inside WAY before they did. Eventually, thank goodness, they did get their fill of throwing snowballs at each other and rolling around in it. We brought them in and stripped all their wet clothes off and bundled them up on the couch together. I don't think they moved for 2 hours! I don't know if it was because they were tired from all the fun they had or if it was because it felt good to be so warm. Probably a little of both. :)
Enjoy the pics...
You can see the snowball right before it smacks Luke.
That's o.k. though cuz he got her back good!

My boys

Happy Birthday Cameron and Carson!
I can't believe it has been a year since you were born!! (Yesterday was actually there bday, but it was also "torture Mommy day" at my house, so I'm a little late posting this.) Anyway, I just wanted to post a few pics of all the fun we had celebrating one year with these two precious boys. My little fatties! I could just eat em up!
Enjoy the fatness...

Valentine

Every year since Bay and Aussie have been old enough to talk they have wanted to exchange Valentine's with each other. This year was no different except that Luke and Brandon wanted to join in the fun. Bre and I decided that since neither one of us had babysitters for Valentine's Day that we would all meet at her house and have dinner together. We ordered pizza and the kids exchanged their gifts. Bre made cupcakes and I brought a bunch of different toppings so that the kids could have some fun decorating their own dessert.
It wasn't a romantic dinner for two like Valentine's past but it ended up being a pretty fun night. Besides, who needs a bunch of romantic gestures when you are blessed with men like these....

What's goin' on...

Life has been crazy as usual around the Ross house. I thought I would share some photos from the past few weeks...
Not long after the kids bday party they both caught a stomach flu. It was lovely. If you've ever seen the exorcist, that girl ain't got nothing on Presley! Luke's only lasted 24 hours luckily. Presley had it for a week. I really think she had salmonella poisoning. A few hours before she started throwing up she had eaten a package of peanut butter crackers. Of course, I read in the paper the next day that they are recalling all sort of peanut butter products! Anyway, she didn't eat for 5 straight days. The only way we got her to drink for several days was by forcing it in her with a medicine dropper. She was so pitiful!
This is the first day she wore anything beside PJ's in a week. She was a lot better but not 100%.
We actually got a little snow in M-town. Not enough to keep Bailey home from school though. She was not happy about that! After we dropped her off the kids wanted to go check it out. They played for a few minutes and tried to catch it with their tongues. It didn't take long though before Luke said "Mommy, it's cold! Let's go in the house!" Thank the Lord! I was freezing. I must be getting old. I could stay out in the snow forever when I was younger!

The next picture is kind of random but I had to add it!
This is one of my favorite pics! My kids love to make "Jimmy Neutron hair" in the tub. It took Presley forever before she had enough to do it!
Bre and Peyton were brave enough to have us over for dinner. :) We are definitely outnumbered by the little people! We had lots of fun though!

Do you really expect our kids to be normal? (Bailey and Austin)

Peyton was trying to get a kiss from Sassy. Can you blame her for reacting this way?

Presley LOVES babies! She wanted to hold Cameron. We couldn't convince her that he was a little to big for her. hehe. I love this pic of Cameron. SO Cute! Bre used to sit like this so much as a baby that her knees started turning in. Looks like it runs in the genes. All of her kids sit like this too. :)
